Good Morning Chickens

On the mornings I am home I let the chickens out to roam the yard. They have gotten big since I last posted about them. We have two Wyandotte hens, two Australorpe hens, and two Sebright bantam hens, they are approximately  14 weeks old. No eggs yet! we still have a few weeks to go. Sadly the ducks didn't make it. They just disappeared one night out of the blue without a trace :( From talking to our neighboring duck owners the conclusion is a possible duck thief. Weird right? but there was not sign of a struggle. Poor ducks, they were fun.

We moved there chicken coop to a permanent spot for the summer, but will probably tractor it around the yard throughout the winter.

Since we have been letting them free range they have eaten much less of the store bought food, instead feeding on the bugs and clovers all over the yard. I hope they are also getting those pesky flees and ticks so they stay off my dogs:)
