Regrow from the store Experiment

Lettuce and Celery regrown from store bought produce

I have been experimenting with store bough produce this year. Last year I tried and failed. But that was at our old house and this is our new house. I planted these in the ground the first week in April and as of today they are still around and growing bigger. I keep an old storm window over them for now to protect them from the cats and heavy rain.
In the ground after two weeks
The plants are looking good so far. Two weeks and they have not died yet, in fact they seem to be growing thicker by the day. The two bunches of celery have gotten thicker and the romaine lettuce have gotten taller. I removed the glass and hopefully they are strong enough that my cats wont tear them out of the ground at this stage. The green string on the far left is garlic, it also seems to be doing okay.

I will keep updates on these plants and let you know when I harvest them if they are just as tasty as when I bought them from the store. Yummy lettuce.
