The dead tree is gone!

The tree that has been dieing in our back yard since we moved in has produced not a single leaf this year, and so it had to go.

The view has been cleared. Nothing left but a stump.

It was an amazing site to see, and weeks of clean up. Instead of paying to have the debris hauled away we added logs to the wood pile and burned the branches in a series of small bonfires over the course of 3 weekends. It was a big tree. So glad that it is gone.

We have also cut down the holly tree that used to be in the front yard.

You can see the dead tree in the back yard too, over the garage.

Now that the holly tree is gone, I can continue my front garden.
